Galena Renaissance Suites
About Galena Renaissance Suites
Restoring historic buildings and adapting them for modern use is painstaking work. The properties upon which Renaissance and Riverboat now stand were first acquired by Daniel Smith Harris in 1839. The lots changed hands many times until the Beltram and Weber Buildings were constructed in the 1850's. Over the years they've been held by many parties and served a variety of uses. When we purchased them, both were in disrepair. We decided to restore them and to turn them into accommodations that Galena could be proud of. Our goal is to provide 'a home away from home' for our visitors. We sought to combine three elements; comfort, elegance and a sense of history. You'll experience that "home away from home" feeling in comfortable elegance.
