Moonstruck Meadery
About Moonstruck Meadery
Moonstruck Meadery was named after the March 2011, Moonstruck Super Moon, which occurs every 18 years. The Mead Maker and Owner, Brian Schlueter, has created many libations of mead. He began crafting mead in 1990, while stationed at Kadena Airbase in Okinawa Japan. His first batch of mead was sparkling strawberry & red raspberry mead. He created it for his wife, who was not a beer or wine drinker, she preferred the taste of mead.
His passion and love for making mead stems from years of home brewing and wine making, and his interest in educating others on the topic. Brian, is Vice President of the American Mead Makers Association and works together with his son Luke creating medal winning meads.
