The House on Main Street Bed and Breakfast
About The House on Main Street Bed and Breakfast
The historic House On Main Street was known as the Victorian Tourist & Antique House in a by-gone era. It was originally constructed in the mid 1700's and was moved to this site, near where Fort Hoosac previously stood, around 1830. The house was visited by such famous personalities as President Woodrow Wilson, who enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner here in 1914. There were many additions and renovations before it was fully remodeled in 1986, taking great care to preserve the quality features of the house. Today there are six spacious, airy bedrooms for our guests to enjoy.
Over the years we have been told that this is an extremely relaxing home, a place for taking a break from the hustle and bustle of ordinary life to listen to the silence just a bit. If you love the activity of life: enjoy TV, free WiFi and the "power relaxation" of our amazingly comfortable beds, and our delicious breakfasts.
