About National Silk Art Museum
The National Silk Art Museum promotes the understanding and appreciation of art through collecting, exhibiting, preserving, and interpreting outstanding works of visual art.
You will most likely see works that you were unaware existed. England and France were the most prolific in creating works with silk and you will be amazed by the intricacy and beauty of this medium. On exhibit on a rotating basis over 300 masterworks of French silk tapestry based on works by major artists primarily of the 19th and 20th century.
This is the most important and extensive exhibition of Jacquard woven silk tapestry ever shown in the world. These tapestries are considered the most beautiful tapestries in existence.
