A little about Milton
Paradise has been found, in the form of a quaint little Victorian shipbuilding village called Milton, just minutes from the beautiful resort towns of Lewes and Rehoboth Beach on Delaware's Eastern Shore. With a population of only 1,657, Milton is a thriving community of small businesses and lovingly restored historic homes. Centered at the head of the Broadkill River which feeds into the Delaware Bay, it is a pleasant tourist destination. Enjoying relatively mild weather year-round, Milton is host to a number of delightful events of interest to both the young and old alike, including annual tournaments, river races, parades and historic house tours!
The history of Milton
The town of Milton was originally a ship building community. We have the homes of five Governors, four being Governors of Delaware, and one became Governor of Wyoming. In addition of these five homes, the town has a great number of beautiful Victorian homes. We are a small community, but combined with the history, beauty and convenience, we are a proud community. We think you will enjoy your visit with us, we have a variety of businesses, excellent restaurants, and most everything you need is located right here in one square mile of Delaware's Smallest Wonder.
