No fooling! On April 1st, 1982, Joyce Franklin opened a little fabric shop in Creston, Iowa, called Knits & other Notions. Now 31 years later, Joyce has a great big fabric shop and has changed the name to Quilts & other Notions; to better reflect what the business has become. Knits & other Notions has gone from 200 square feet and one brown station wagon full of inventory to 6400 square feet of building and over 8000 bolts of quilting fabrics. Quilts & other Notions has become a favorite over the years for not only its huge inventory, but for the friendly, knowledgeable staff.
They are a Premier Husqvarna Viking dealer, selling and servicing machines and sergers. The store has 2 factory trained Technicians, so service and repair is done in the store, often while you shop so they can get you back on the road and quilting again as soon as you get home.
